I learned about Mijoté at dinner with a friend at Etra in Los Angeles. About a week prior to my trip to the Bay, I started asking anyone I met if they had any good recs, and our server told us I had to go to Mijoté. Without looking into it, and with no one to go with, I booked a table for two. I reasoned, worst comes to worst, I go by myself (I love a solo meal).
But then I made friends with my server at The Morris and ran into her again at the La Paulée afterparty, and after who knows how many...
